- Welcome Visitors!Permanent residents of Sunset Ridge wish to welcome all short-term visitors to our neighborhood and to Central Florida. We wish you all a safe and memorable stay in our area. With that being said, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure your stay is a pleasant one:
1. Keep all entrances (including sliding glass doors) to your rental home locked, especially when you are away.
2. Just as you would at home, keep an eye out for suspicious activity and if seen, report it to the local authorities. In Sunset Ridge, you may call the Polk County Sherriff's Office via 911 (if emergency) or (863) 533-0344 (non-emergency).
3. If the management company you rented your vacation home from did not assign you a 4-digit PIN to open the front gates, contact them immediately. If they do not have a PIN to assign you, call Sutherland Management at (407)774-7262 to receive a temporary PIN. They will need to know the name of the management company you rented the home through as well as the address of the rental home.
4. While enjoying the many activities in our area, please lock your car and stowe any valuables out of sight. Take mental note of landmarks near your parked car to avoid 'losing' it in the vast expanse of some area attraction's parking lots.
5. If you encounter trouble on our roadways, dial *FHP on your cellular phone or use one of the many call boxes you will find along our state's interstate system (I-4, I-75, I-95, etc.).
6. Wear sunscreen. Sunburns can be painful and ruin an otherwise pleasant stay. Apply an initial coat of sunscreen as you start your day and re-apply it frequently. Even if it seems overcast and cloudy, you can still get a sunburn!
